I had heard so much about Bongo’s Bingo (all good by the way!) and was excited to see what it was like for myself.
I was lucky enough to get tickets in exchange for a review and with a group of my girl friends we headed there on Thursday night. The Boiler Shop, which is just behind Central Station quickly filled up. The atmosphere was lively before it even started! We chatted to the girls who were sitting next to us who had all been before and loved it. Mickey Pickles the DJ got the audience going even more with his constant banter and 2 dancers. The whole audience were up on their feet, on the benches and dancing for most of the evening. To the bingo! I never imagined that a game could last so long! With the showcasing of the prizes, the funny banter and even more dancing, a standard game of bingo is going to seem dull now in comparison. The prizes also added to the entertainment too. From the box of Coco Pops to £600 in cash, there were some great prizes. I was keeping my finger tightly crossed when Henry Hoover came out as a prize. Unfortunately he wasn’t won by me! One of my friends however was over the moon to win a bottle of gin. The dancing on benches continued all night with the music related to the bingo numbers called. Number 17, Dancing Queen and number 31, Since You’ve Been Gone to name a couple. The end of the evening was finished with a set from Five. I have to say we had a really fantastic night. I can highly recommend getting a group of friends together and going along. We will definitely be back.
No other bingo is this much fun.
